FINANCIAL ANALYST - ENCOUNTERSPosition DescriptionThis position is responsible to oversee internal encounters processes on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Reconcile between systems and data sources to ensure accuracy and completion. Follow a defined and regimented schedule. Become a subject matter expert on encounters related data sources and develop new and innovative data sets for reporting and consolidation. Assist in the strengthening of cross-departmental encounters partnerships by joining the encounters manager on several encounters project work streams. Perform testing on new encounters datasets and processes. Eagerly adapt to new regulatory changes to encounters process.·Participate in encounters reporting efforts for UCare. Develop, improve, and monitor reports and analysis related to encounter submission performance and other assigned projects. ·Maintain strong understanding of encounter submission requirements (DHS, CMS, MDH & Exchange) per associated contract. Work with UCare internal staff and Delegates to ensure any proposed changes to encounter submissions are remediated. Work with Information Technology (IT) to ensure submission process is compliant and deadlines met. Help implement changes and improvements developed by the SCRUM team.·Monitor completeness of the encounter submission, including both UCare and delegate claims, through a reconciliation process. Identify variances through reporting and resolve through the Encounter project team.·Support UCare's pharmacy department as backup for PDE, P2P, dataloads and reconciliation including loading pharmacy data into UCare's data repositories, verifying completeness of the data against invoiced amounts. Respond to Acumen notifications and attest to response files generated by ESI and UCare.·Support financial, operational and strategic initiatives through ad hoc and standard reports. Maintain documentation on standard report processes and procedures.·Maintain a thorough understanding of claims processing procedures, data structure within UCare's claims adjudication system, and product lines.·Assist in internal Encounters related audits as called upon.·Other projects and duties as assigned.EducationB.A. /B.S. in Finance, Economics or Computer Science related field preferred; demonstrated analytical and programming experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Required ExperienceTwo years of reporting, analysis, data or statistics based experience. Intermediate Excel and Access skills. Entry level SQL and/or SAS experience. Strong attention to detail. Data mining, consolidation and new report generation. Professional desk documentation creation.Preferred ExperienceTwo years of reporting, analysis, data or statistics based experience in a mid to large size organization. Intermediate Excel experience. Intermediate SQL or SAS experience. Health insurance industry experience.
