From brand and patent law to contract development and negotiations, you'll be challenged and gratified by a role with Target Legal Affairs.A role in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) means you will help identify and manage top strategic, financial, operational and compliance risks Target faces. You will also play a key role in coordinating and maintaining an enterprise response framework for these areas of risk.As a Lead Risk Consultant, you will be primarily responsible for a portion of the ERM portfolio dedicated to emerging risks. Emerging risks are defined as risks on a time horizon of 3 or more years away that, when assessed for impact, likelihood and vulnerability, may represent enterprise scale threats according to the Target Risk Framework. This role will design and execute risk assessments with business leaders across the company, develop and monitor key risk metrics, conduct external research on emerging threats to current and potential business applications/models and other assigned projects related to Target's Enterprise Risk program and portfolio. This work matures an existing portfolio of emerging risks to identify potential barriers or threats to new initiatives and company strategies by collaborating with cross-company working teams and influencing change.  Projects include performing risk assessments and risk insight workshops, drafting risk profiles in accordance with the Risk Framework, managing business relationships as the ERM owner for a portion of the emerging risks, conducting risk monitoring on key risk metrics and performing “inside-out” and “outside-in” research on risks and root causes for recommendation to decision makers. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.About you:
  • B.A/B.S degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years' experience in risk management, intelligence or insights, strategy or equivalent business role with a proven track record of using data to drive decision making
  • Ability to synthesize complex findings to focus on critical issues, root causes and actionable opportunities for recommendation
  • Proven ability to develop and leverage strong partnerships in order to obtain feedback and insight, influence and accomplish work through others
  • Drives for results and manage execution: coordinate, prioritize, establish goals, ensure timelines are being met and use resources effectively
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high priority concurrent projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; tailors message by audience, negotiate consequences, handles setbacks and conflicts constructively and diplomatically, and provide essential information to the right people at the right time
  • Works independently with limited direction
