Position Description

HEDIS TEMPORARY (January 7,2019 - May 15, 2019)

UCare is seeking experienced RNs or Health Information (HIS/HIMS) professionals for HEDIS medical record review. These positions, in conjunction with the internal HEDIS team, will be working at UCare or onsite at provider clinics to accurately abstract medical records for the annual HEDIS 2019 project. These positions will have primary accountability for reviewing medical records as identified by the internal HEDIS team, investigating and reporting findings for this team.

Applicants must have medical record review experience, be team-oriented and be able to meet tight deadlines. RNs should have 3 years of nursing experience. HIMS professionals should have 2-3 years of Health Information Systems experience. Ability to read and interpret medical records and experience with HEDIS measurement specifications is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable with reading and interpreting both electronic and written medical records. The ability to problem solve and communicate with various levels of our HEDIS team and provider network are critical. Applicants should also be proficient in Microsoft office software and be comfortable with learning additional software programs as needed.
