You ensure operational efficiencies across the environment through automation. You seek to provide optimal utilization of patterns and techniques which produce opportunities to expand our enablement of Agile teams to deliver business value to Target.  You come to the table with innovative ideas and effectively balance experimentation with delivery and support activities.  Your ability to translate technical speak into something consumable by non-technical people is matched only by your ability to alternatively translate business/product requirements into something actionable by the developers you lead.Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description.  Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.  
About you:• 4 year degree or equivalent experience• 7+ years of software development experience• Leverages DevOps practices to develop innovative automation solutions • Demonstrates an advanced understanding of Agile development methodologies• Utilizes troubleshooting skills to quickly assess and resolve problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability• Posses knowledge and demonstrates proper use of Object Oriented principles • Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise• Proficient in multiple computer languages, including distributed programming and understands different frameworks and paradigms• Delivers continuously while utilizing test driven development strategies, software test automation, pipelines and containers• Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education• Acts as technical leader to the team, mentoring others on tool and coding best practices, and identifies opportunities to pair or mob to share experiences• Reviews complex code and architecture thoroughly and regularly, providing not only clear direction on how to refactor the code, but patterns to watch for in the future• Researches and identifies solutions to production problems, leveraging a wide variety of resources, then proposes not only an immediate solution but a long-term fix• Builds commitment to solutions and approaches within and across teams while holding teammates accountable
