The Fergus Falls/Otter Tail County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Executive Director. A detailed job description is available for review at www.fergusfallshra.com.
It is preferred that candidates possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in Public Housing/Section 8 Rental Assistance Administration, Rental Property Management, General Accounting, or a combination of comparable education and experience demonstrating leadership ability. Candidates must possess excellent management, interpersonal and community relation skills with the ability to make timely decisions. In addition a Public Housing (PHM) Certification or the ability to obtain such certification within one year of employment is required. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of HUD regulations, procedures and policies.
Responsibilities will include managing a staff of 10 employees, fiscal control, budget preparation, community relations, and policy/procedure development. Candidates must also have good communication skills and the ability to maintain relationships with residents, staff, local, state and federal government officials, the general public and regulatory agencies. Responsibility will also include planning, directing and implementing all programs and policies of the HRA towards the mission, goals, and objectives established by the HRA Board of Directors. Salary is dependent on qualifications/experience and also includes an excellent benefit package.
