As a Director of Technology - Service Enablement, you will be accountable for leading the global IT Service Enablement Engineering team, which is responsible for the building and operating the platform that enables the ops side of dev ops.
In this capacity you will lead the creation of the strategy to deliver upon the vision of creating a platform that allows the integration of our ITSM processes in to the CICD pipeline, leveraging opensource technologies, machine learning, natural language processing and other cutting-edge tools to do so; developing and fostering key stakeholder relationships and driving the organizational change across IT to ensure its adoption.
Your responsibilities will include
Leading the IT Service Enablement Engineering organization.
·Lead a global team located in Minneapolis, Mn and Bangalore, India.
·Understand, advocate and communicate company objectives, vision and strategy to team members and leaders
·Create/evolve vision for technology solutions; communicate, inspire and align technology leaders and teams to execution of vision
·Foster a culture of agility, speed to market, continuous improvement, calculated risk-taking and innovation in development and operations.
·Assist senior leadership in the management of financials, HR and other operational efforts
·Set staffing needs and support recruiting strategy that is aligned with meeting business objectives
·Provides leadership, coaching, motivation and assistance managers and team members to ensure teamwork and high performance in the accomplishments of all responsibilities and projects.
·Plan and execute global staff development activities and training.
·Drive a culture of software engineering that helps attract and retain talent with passion for diversity
Ensuring that the service enablement platform technology is healthy, scalable and robust
·Ensure that all the development/automation work for adheres to company best practices and standards
·Manage global teams to responsible for platform development and delivery, including participation and review of the work as appropriate
·Act as a change agent to enable, empower and inspire technology teams to collaboratively create solutions to drive Target's growth
·Keep abreast of technology trends and advances in Reliability Engineering and Infrastructure
Building strong internal and external partnerships
·Influence the product backlogs of the other CICD product teams that need to integrate with the service enablement platform
·Create and maintain strong partnerships with internal business clients in multiple locations
·Build relationships with external partners and stay current with technology advances in the space.
·4-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
·15+ years of experience; 5+ years of experience software engineering and 5+ years leading global teams
·Proven technology leadership experience and success in building high performing teams.
·Experience building and leading teams that have adopted modern reliability engineering practices(API's, K8, etc..)and have hosted workloads in the both centralized and distributed environment that leverage traditional compute and cloud environments (public and private)
·Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education.
·Strong business acumen, ability to connect technical direction to business strategy and goals
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills for communicating effectively at the highest levels of management.
·Ability to convey technical solutions clearly beyond immediate team
·Ability to exert intellectual, emotional and political influence as the situation demands
·Experience influencing without authority and across global boundaries
