This position is responsible to design, develop, implement, test and analyze software applications in an Agile environment as part of the digital web service team, supporting web, SharePoint, mobile and other digital initiatives in a mission-focused organization. Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production lifecycle. Also analyze and remediate software defects and provide recommendations to enhance UCare's digital presence, including the development of a new website(s) and improved functionality for members.·Collaborate with project leads, business analysts, end users and third party contacts to design, implement and test software applications.·Collaborate with other engineers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications.·Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects.·Ability to drive and independently work on complex projects and with stakeholders and cross functional teams with occasional guidance from Architect, technical leads and managers.·Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.·Research and document requirements of software users.·Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.·Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.·Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.·Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.·Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas. ·Generate statistics and prepare and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process. ·Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.·Install software products for end users as required.·Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or appearance of company Web site and/or related Web applications as necessary.·Collaborate with other members of the IS department to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.·Enhance staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions, answer technical and procedural questions for less experienced team and business members, offer suggestions for improved processes, mentor team members.·Able to take ownership of end-to-end incident resolution that may involve multiple departments.·Provide consultation for internal stakeholders.·Other projects and duties as assigned.Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Required Experience
