The Business Administration department invites applicants for a full-time ranked faculty position beginning Fall 2019, pending budget approval. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience. The position is a one-year, temporary/visiting position, annually renewable for a maximum term of 5 years pending budget approval and adequate performance. The position is eligible for conversion to a permanent position after the first year, pending dean, provost and budget approval.
Responsibilities: Teach six courses per year (6 undergraduate courses in upper and lower level undergraduate accounting and/or core in both day and weekend/hybrid/online formats); service to the business department including areas like student advising and recruiting, and participation in faculty meetings and committees; service to the school and university; engagement in scholarship; and interaction and outreach with business, industry, and professional organizations.
Requirements: Master of Business Administration with CPA; OR Masters in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation with CPA; OR Academically qualified in accounting with CPA as defined by ACBSP. Prior teaching experience in accounting at the undergraduate or graduate level is required, as well as professional or industry experience in accounting. Experience teaching in both face-to-face, online and hybrid formats is preferred.
