Television Production Technician
House Public Information Services
A full-time temporary position is available with the Minnesota House of Representatives as a television production technician for the nonpartisan Public Information Services office. The office supports the mission of the House of Representatives through news and information services, including: reporting on committees and floor sessions, informational publications, photography and television coverage.
Duties are to assist in production and technical operations for video coverage of the Minnesota House during the 2019 legislative session. Responsibilities include technical direction of television production, operation of robotic cameras, running audio and graphics systems, and ENG videography.
An ideal candidate will have experience with technical directing, robotic cameras, character generator systems, working in video control rooms, and have a background in all aspects and techniques of live television production. Some long and irregular hours required.
Salary range is $580.80 - $1,013.20 per week, commensurate with experience. This position is anticipated to begin in early January and run approximately through the end of May, depending on session length.
