The Respiratory Care Department at St. Catherine University invites applications for a full time, 12 month Instructor or Assistant Professor. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and academic credentials. The position is a rolling contract (3-year term, renewed annually), it is benefit eligible (health, life, vacation, retirement, etc).
Responsibilities: : The selected candidate is expected to have responsibilities in teaching (didactic, laboratory and clinical instruction), research and service with colleagues, the department, school, campus, community and professional organizations.
Bachelor's degree (either BS-RC, or Baccalaureate degree completion), Minnesota Respiratory Care license (or eligible), NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist. Significant experience with mechanical ventilation, and adult critical care. Experience, interest and aptitude for teaching. Be a positive, self-directed person.
Preferred qualifications: Master's Degree in a discipline related to RC. Specialty credentials, knowledge and/or skills: ACLS, pulmonary function testing, home care, pediatric and neonatal RC.
