We are currently looking to add multiple individuals to the team on both 2nd and 3rd shift; this is a direct-hire, permanent opportunity with a pay range of $17-$20/hour. JOB TITLE:Batch Builder

 

REPORTS TO:Production Supervisor

 

JOB PURPOSE:      Builds concentrate batches to specification and on schedule to insure that the production lines continually have batches to dispense.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Follows written procedures for batch building per work order correctly. Performs all the calculations necessary for determining the amount of chemical for use in a batch (sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, etc.). Weighs out chemicals accurately and transfers them into the mixing tank. Understands the tank farm and how all the components work (mixers, recirculation, filters, cleaning tanks and hoses, filter systems, connecting hoses, and what the top off marks are on the tanks). Brings predispense samples to QC lab for testing. Performs pH, hydrogen peroxide, and particulate analysis. Completes all documentation related to tasks being performed. Gets supervisor’s verification on all weights and bag counts Determines if a raw material is released or on QC hold. Must follow strict GMP guidelines. Assists on the production lines as needed. Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull boxes or containers weighing up to 100 lbs. Frequently.  This is strenuous work requiring good hearing and corrected vision.  Must be able to walk, stand, or reach both above and below shoulder height frequently.  This job requires frequent twisting and turning of body and the dexterous use of both hands in the preparation of materials.  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

 

Must be high school graduate or equivalent and be able to write, read, and speak English, and perform complex math functions.  Must be able to operate a forklift.  Must be very detail oriented.

Must be capable of attaining forklift license.
