Description: JOIN US AS A DATA, PROCESS, AND REPORTING LEAD - INVENTORY MANAGEMENT, FOODDo you have a knack for making processes easier?  Are you the one that everyone reaches out to about “creating a tool”?  Retail moves quickly and we must too.  Use and develop your coding skills, experience and talents to work with Target Inventory Management  to identify and solve for opportunities to automate processes and build reporting to drive efficiency, scale, segmentation, accuracy and improved business results.  If this sounds like you, we have a great opportunity for you to help drive the transformation of our current and future Food Supply Chain.


• Interface with Target business representatives and leaders to write and define business requirements/requests for reporting solutions

• Own and build new reporting capabilities to drive business results in Target's Perishable Food businesses

• Communicates with project/team manager to share knowledge and findings

• Communication of progress, milestones, challenges against plan, and escalation of issues

• Work directly with Technical Product teams to develop integration plans and inform the design for future systems and system enhancements

• Create, support, and govern the VBA macro's/automations that Inventory Management uses to run our Perishable Food business ensuring stability, accessibility, and accuracy

• Leverage business expertise to collaborate with Perishable Food teams to drive & develop strategies, processes, and supporting tools/reports to drive business results

• Work with Technical Product teams to proactively understand updates to existing applications that will impact automations being used


• Four (4)+ years relevant experience with VBA programming in developing automations, end-user applications/interfaces, reporting, etc.

• Experience in building reports using VBA, Excel, Access, and SQL

• Sound object oriented programming skills and good coding habits

• Familiarity with DB2, Teradata, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases

• Familiarity with HTML and JavaScript

• Find joy in automating and simplifying complex processes

• Be curious and willing to learn

• Inventory Management and/or Perishable Food experience preferred but not required
