As the Lead Product Designer for our Customer Support Software you will be responsible for defining and documenting team member experiences to build world-class web tools for Target team members. You'll partner with product owners, user researchers, engineers, business partners, other designers and most importantly—our team members—to develop impactful new ways to meet their needs. This includes envisioning entirely new experiences, as well as reimagining existing ones.


Turn broad, conceptual ideas into world-class experiences for Target's Team Members.Own the full design process, from early product discovery and ideation to final pixel-tweaking with engineersDesign flows that are intuitive, elegant and provide value for our team members while accounting for a variety of scenariosIncorporate data and guest insights into the design process (in partnership with our research team)Utilize and contribute to a design pattern library maintained by our design systems teamGracefully articulate and defend design decisions to peers and leadersCollaborate wildly well with others including other designers, engineers, product managers, QA staff, accessibility team members, and partners.Consult with other teams across Target (Target.com, apps, pricing & promotions, item, etc.) to ensure cohesiveness with the Target guest experience.


7+ years of visual and interaction design experienceA portfolio featuring interaction design workExperience shipping digital products (web, apps or software)Expertise with modern design and prototyping tools (such as Axure, Sketch, and InVision)Awareness of data and research methodologies and ability to conduct or partner with research expertExcellent collaboration and influence skillsAble to articulate and defend design decisions with grace, logic and dataAble to work well in a large organization with many partnersAble to translate technical requirements into simple, engaging designsAble to lead design of large-scale projects and initiatives involving multiple teamsA combination of curiosity and critical thinking skills
