MBE PROCESS OPTIMIZATION MANAGER

This position is responsible for improving the overall quality of the Billing & Enrollment (B&E) function by creating a culture of continuous improvement through the use of a comprehensive education strategy and strategic departmental project management.

·Provide direction to achieve quality assurance (QA) best practices, streamline processes, and standardize work within the MBE function. Measure performance to those standards

·Develop scorecards and visual management boards to communicate team performance within the department and to the organization

·Collaborate with MBE leaders to create performance measures, monitoring tools and scorecards to communicate individual productivity/performance 

·Develop on-boarding, on-going and technology upgrade education programs and materials using adult learning theory as a foundation for all development

·Collaborate with departmental and organizational leaders to identify and implement repeatable and sustainable process improvement efforts involving enhancements to core MB&E processing systems

·Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of UCare contracts (Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial) as they impact billing and enrollment functions.  Plan, organize and lead both billing and enrollment focused/targeted initiatives. 

·Lead assigned team.  Recruit, interview, select and retain high quality engaged team of professionals.  Monitor onboarding, ongoing development and continuous engagement across the team.  Mentor and coach to the next level.  Establish and communicate clear expectations and performance standards and provide feedback in a timely manner.

·Committee and/or work group representation as assigned.

·Other projects and duties as assigned.

 

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Education or Healthcare Administration; Master's degree preferred.

Required Experience

Three years of management or supervisory experience.  Three years education and/or quality experience.  Three years of project management and/or process improvement experience.

Preferred Experience

Health Plan Operations experience in Enrollment and/or Membership Accounting. Process improvement and/or Six Sigma experience.   Experience working with CMS/DHS regulations.
