Position/Title:
Member Service Specialist (Call Center)
Job Function:
Assist members over the phone with issues involving enrollment, dental, transportation, benefit questions, coverage limits, payments, and claims.

Job Duties:
Assist by telephone with questions, concerns, and complaints.
Document all calls received
Assist county staff members with benefit questions, location of network providers, pharmacy issues.
Be aware of federal and county laws and rules that correlate to health care.
Determine when an issue needs to be escalated to a supervisor or other management.
Perform other job duties as assigned within the scope of the job.

Qualifications:
Perform each duty satisfactorily.
Must be able to read and write English. Knowledge of Spanish and or Somali Languages is a plus.
Basic mathematical skills.
High School Diploma or equivalent with at least one year of experience in the healthcare or call center required.
Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare rules, and Dental/Transportation insurance is a plus.
