Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easily maintained and highly reliable.  Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work.

As a Product Director for HR, you will set the overall strategic vision for your product space and product team, are accountable for succeeding against identified business outcomes and metrics, will set and manage the product's budget and financials, and set the short and long term product goals and quarterly OKRs (Objectives and Key Results). You will work closely with HR leaders and capability owners to understand their strategy and objectives and how technology and data can be leveraged to enable their objectives. A key focus will be on the continued deployment of Workday (Recruiting, Learning and Onboarding) and ensuring we maximize the value of this investment. You will be accountable for building, coaching, and mentoring a strong team of product and process owners while also building a strong team culture of progress, transparency, and efficiency across teams. You will be responsible to elevate your collective team's performance by providing insightful, motivating, and constructive feedback to all roles on the team while also working with senior leadership and peers across functions to negotiate and remove execution related barriers for your teams.

You will drive product discovery with key stakeholders to validate hypotheses and concepts with customers before committing engineering time, as you lead highly complex work across multiple departments, with interrelated specialties.  

You will leverage data and analytics to provide competitive analysis, drive decision making, assess the health and effectiveness of your products, and to deliver recommendations to key stakeholders. 

It will be critical that you possess an understanding of retail, relevant technologies (Workday HCM, Recruiting and Learning experience is a plus) and design principles in order to drive innovative and scalable solutions across our business units.

About you:

Able to set strategic direction leveraging internal and external information

Strong HR domain knowledge; learning & development and recruiting experience is a plus

Strong technical aptitude and foundational knowledge of HR systems; Workday HCM experience is a plus

12-15 years relevant work experience; plus 5+ years HR or technology experience preferred

Strong collaboration and influence skills with demonstrated success working with partners to achieve objectives

Able to think critically, resourcefully solve problems and confidently make decisions

Continuous learner; stays current with new and evolving technologies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting to senior leaders
