A role with Target Digital Media & Search means being close to the action of delivering profitable sales to and bringing the business's multichannel vision to life. You'll create and implement industry-leading digital media plans for Brand & Category Marketing and Target Media Network, while staying on the cutting edge of emerging digital media innovations. Cultivating an environment of full-team engagement, leadership and personal development, you'll be a champion for open communication and program transparency.

As a Paid Media Manager, you will play a critical role in leading day-to-day management and optimization of Target digital media campaigns across search engines and social media channels, including, but not limited to Google AdWords/Google Ads, Pinterest and Bing. These campaigns are focused on driving effective and efficient traffic and revenue on and in stores, while ensuring an excellent and relevant experience for the Target guest.

In this role, you'll activate and optimize SEM and Paid Social campaigns, including but not limited to, campaign set-up, audience segmentation, bidding strategies and budget/performance pacing. You will have the opportunity to take advantage of cutting edge optimization technologies to drive performance in alignment with vendor and overall Target goals and objectives. You will commonly perform custom analysis and develop reporting and insights for partners and key stakeholders.

About you:
  • 5+ years of experience in digital media advertising

  • Activation and media strategy experience with paid search and social platforms including, but not limited to: Google Ads/Google AdWords, Pinterest, Bing, Facebook and Instagram

  • Experience in direct response media (specifically SEM, Product Ads, Shopping Ads, Paid Social), with optimization and measurement geared to driving conversions (Ecommerce or lead generation)

  • Intimate knowledge of technical aspects of configuration, optimization and measurement of paid search and paid social campaigns activated to drive Ecommerce sales (pixels, attribution, prospecting vs. retargeting, etc.)

  • Detailed knowledge and experience with paid search and paid social bid management platforms (i.e. DoubleClick/Search Ads 360, Kenshoo, Marin, 4C, etc.)

  • Detailed knowledge and experience with web analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)

  • Audacity and disruptive thinking with a bias for action

  • Strong attention to detail and strong analytical skills

  • Strong skills with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Highly detailed oriented with excellent organization skills while managing multiple ongoing projects

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment

  • Intrinsic understanding of Target and our guests

  • Be comfortable in navigating ambiguity
