E-DISCOVERY LITIGATION PARALEGAL

Gray Plant Mooty, a prominent national law firm, currently has an E-Discovery Litigation Paralegal opportunity available in our Minneapolis office.  This paralegal will manage complex electronic discovery and third-party subpoenas in multiple cases simultaneously.  They will also assist attorneys with production of electronic data/material both to and from external parties and organize and place ESI onto common platforms for attorney review, including production to opposing parties.  In addition, the paralegal will generate production instructions, prepare databases for review teams, configure review settings, document folders, and issue tags.

The paralegal will work with the legal team to perform legal and factual database research; support briefs and motions including cite checking; support hearings and depositions including preparing witness folders and binders; performing internet research; conducting document review; preparing correspondence; and provide trial preparations. The paralegal will also provide support during arbitration and trial.  This position will also conduct research and maintain dockets and calendars for review and perform various duties relating to discovery and trial preparation.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in e-discovery (specifically ESI), excellent organizational skills and an ability to work independently. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective working relationships with all levels of personnel; strong client-service orientation and focus; excellent communications skills; creative problem solving skills; exceptional attention to detail skills; and strong technical skills and aptitude. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated and be able to work effectively and efficiently in high pressure, time sensitive situations.  The ideal candidate must have a willingness to learn new software applications as required. Applicants will have formal paralegal training from an accredited program, preferably a four-year degree program and at least three + years working as a litigation paralegal in a law firm.  Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required as well as proficiency in ligation support applications such as Relativity, Textmap, TrialDirector and hosted, on-line applications and extranet applications.
