Description: About us:
Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.

As a Lead Product Owner, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product.  You will be the “voice of the product” to all key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful.  This specific position is for the Supply Chain Master Data team within Global Inventory Management. We started as an innovation team and have created a family of products used to create, maintain, and serve attributes that fuel supply chain systems and processes. We own item, casepack, and location attributes that are used widely across legacy and modern supply chain applications. As we mature, we need an additional Lead Product Owner to help evolve our existing products, scope new products/features, and implement data quality controls.

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to the development and health of your product(s), working in the product model and collaborating with key partners and stakeholders

  • Work with the offshore engineering team to help problem solve, identify use cases and analyze/validate prototypes and solutions

  • Maintain and refine backlog: create user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value.

  • Align requirements and functionality to strategies, objectives and key results (OKRs) for the product.

  • Implement controls to ensure the accuracy and quality of data.

  • Leverage data and analytics to drive decisions and solve problems.

  • Foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and to overcome unexpected obstacles.

  • Encourage the open and respectful exchange of information and viewpoints.

  • Embody the “what” and the “why.” Empower our engineering team to figure out how.

  • About you:
  • 2+ years experience as a Product Owner

  • Expertise in master data (item, vendor, or location desired) and a hearty passion for MDM and data quality

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority

  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams

  • Experience working in an Agile environment

  • Resilient, entrepreneurial mindset. You have strong leadership skills that allow you to create your own blueprints and motivate your partners around them.
