We are currently seeking a recognized and experienced marketing leader with publishing and or media industry experience in developing and executing events and communications strategies that bring Target Media Network's brand positioning to life. 

As a TMNExperiential Marketing Lead, you are responsible for delivering an experience / event strategy that drives awareness in market, and most importantly, drives incremental advertising revenue.  You will develop and deliver on TMN's experience calendar, while constantly evaluating where TMN should be showing up in the industry with our key messages.  In addition to on-site activations across the industry, you will build our external communications plan, including speaking engagements and PR initiatives in partnership with Target's corporate communications team.  This exciting role will have accountability for the end-to-end experience ensuring a unique Target brand experience that upholds our brand and quality standards, and measuring its effectiveness.  You have the resources of a fortune 50 company while maintaining the nimbleness of a rapidly growing startup digital advertising business.  You will report to the Director of Marketing.

About you:
  • 7+ years of event planning experience focused on digital publishing/media space

  • Robust experience driving event strategy, planning, and execution for premium industry events, conferences and client on-site activations

  • Developed complex experience calendars and client engagement strategies

  • Negotiated marketing sponsorships, venues, and event vendor services

  • Developed strategic experience briefs for partners & hands-on managed event agencies

  • Experienced in planning for and coordinating industry speaking engagements, along with external communications and public relations

  • Clear demonstration of influencing key stakeholders in a complex organization & ability to work through ambiguity; managed C-suite level relationships and large cross functional teams

  • Deep experience quantifying the outcomes/effectiveness of events/experiences
