As a Lead Business Partner in Merchandise Protection you will use your talent and experience to demonstrate self-direction, detailed problem solving, independent judgement and decision making in order to drive results within Target's Merchandise Protection strategy and program.   This role within the AP Assets & Design team means being a part of a team that manages how our Assets Protection security and surveillance systems operate.  This includes day to day operations, initial set-up and maintenance to our camera system, physical security elements and systems, building design, merchandise protection and all other physical assets in our stores.  Here you will apply a wide range of skills including program/process/project management, communication and presentation, organization and collaboration over a wide span of the business.

As Lead Business Partner - Merchandise Protection, you will:

  • Establish a strategic operational program for Merchandise Protection across the enterprise.
  • Work across business units to connect strategic goals to stores modernization and OKR governance process.
  • Drive operational improvement in Merchandise Protection processes and execution across stores and through the supply chain.
  • Manage the budget and expenses to deliver strong financial results, maximizing the impact of the Merchandise Protection program.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external partners establishing comprehensive project plans and holding partners accountable to meet deadlines.
  • Stay connected to the external landscape and identify trends in the industry that impact our AP and Target initiatives.

About you: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of experience in relevant business support or store support role 
  • Experience influencing key business partners, including senior leadership
  • Project and process management/ownership experience
  • Experience operating in an ambiguous and rapidly changing work environment
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction and in high intensity situations with tight deadlines
  • Ability to challenge upward and challenge the status quo, to resolve problems that are without clear precedent, and to influence and negotiate effectively 
  • Experience building and maintaining cross-functional working relationships 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Desired MBA and previous stores experience
