Description: Role

As a Manager, F&B Category Optimization you will providesupport and guidance related to Produce Visual Adjacency in Stores, aligned to the Food & Beverage strategy. Through strong relationship with HQ and Store teams, this person will act as an on the ground liaison to ensure Store teams the ability to present productive Fresh Produce displays which meet Visual Adjacency standards and best practices, while also accounting for market/region differentiation in product assortment, availability and promotions.


Builds strong relationships with Food & Beverage Leaders to ensure category optimization though fresh Produce displays. Influences best practices when necessary, to align with larger Food & Beverage strategy

In partnership with Sr. Manager F&B Category Optimization, provides input and recommendations towards the Produce Visual Adjacency strategy and building of best practices to be leveraged for the future

Solicits input and feedback directly from Store teams and leaders regarding challenges with fresh Produce displays and visual adjacencies. Forms an assessment of Produce display challenges, by store - Having the right items and the right space allocation by volume segment and individual store footprint.

Segmentation - Assesses and informs partners on improving segmentation strategies

Assesses opportunities related to shrink and sales (smart B management) and shares back with Merchandising buyers to drive and impact financial goals and metrics

Regularly travels to assigned markets to collaborate with Stores teams as well as visit competitors to gain further insights on local markets, alongside store teams and F&B field teams when available

Provides recommendations and acts as a liaison to HQ partners related to opportunities for Produce adjacency improvements.Assesses Competitors to gain insights on strategies and activity in the market.

Store Team Leaders, Food ETLs, Food & Beverage Coordinatorsand F&B Store Operations teams at HQ


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

5 + years' experience in Grocery related business, fresh grocery experience preferred

    Strong ability to problem solve Ability to thrive in the face of ambiguityProven collaboration skills with multiple partnersAbility to influence at various levels and across the organization Understanding of Merchandising objectives and financial goals Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
