The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is seeking an experienced and committed leader to serve as Assistant Chancellor for University Advancement/Chief Advancement Officer. Reporting directly to the Chancellor, the Assistant Chancellor serves on the Chancellor’s Cabinet and has administrative and budgetary authority over the university’s advancement program comprised of fundraising, stewardship and alumni relations functions. The position provides leadership to an advancement team of eight and works closely with a highly effective, separate 501(c)3 institutionally-affiliated Foundation, as well as a large number of motivated volunteers.
The Assistant Chancellor collaborates with the Chancellor and other leaders to envision and implement the university’s alumni engagement and philanthropic initiatives - building on the momentum of the institution’s first ever comprehensive campaign completed in 2016 which reached its $20 million goal. The individual will lead fundraising efforts that focus on supporting strategic priorities such as student scholarships, study abroad opportunities, support for faculty and innovative programs, as well as critical capital and building projects on campus.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the UW-River Falls mission to help prepare students to be productive, creative, ethical, engaged citizens and leaders with an informed global perspective, and will champion the UWRF core values of being student-centered with a focus on academic excellence, inclusiveness, innovation, global engagement and integrity.
River Falls is one of the most rapidly growing dynamic regions of Wisconsin, combining proximity to a major metropolitan area with small town living.
