The School of Art & Design at the University of Wisconsin–Stout invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Photography and Foundations, commencing August 19, 2019. The person hired in this position will lead the new photography concentration—established in 2017—in the Studio Art major, teach foundation courses to all BFA students, and coordinate with other areas in the School of Art & Design and the Department of Communication Technologies, which houses the Photography and Video minor. The position is a full-time, tenure-track, nine-month academic year position. Expectations include teaching at the undergraduate level, graduate level, conducting creative research, and performing service within the department, college, and university. 

The School of Art & Design has over 60 faculty/staff and over 1,000 students. There are six distinct BFA programs (Graphic Design and Interactive Media, Entertainment Design, Game Design and Development–Art, Industrial Design, Interior Design, and Studio Art) and an MFA program in Design. Required Qualifications:
• M.F.A. in Studio/Visual Art
• Active professional studio practice
• Evidence of teaching potential
