Professor of Practice, Computer Networking & Information Technology
The University of Wisconsin-Stout invites applications to fill one (1) position in the Communication Technologies Department with an anticipated appointment start date of August 19, 2019. This job announcement is being announced simultaneously with the Professor of Practice, Computer Networking & Information Technology (Job #15049). Opening will be filled with either one (1) Assistant Professor or one (1) Professor of Practice.
On October 6, 2017 University of Wisconsin-Stout was designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense for academic years 2017-2022 by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). UW Stout is the first four-year university to receive this designation in the state of Wisconsin. The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has certified that curriculum of Computer Networking & Information Technology (CNIT) program at UW Stout meets or exceeds the requirements, as cited by the National Information Assurance Education and Training Program (NIETP). Recently, CNIT program has been awarded DoD Cybersecurity grants to support cybersecurity curricula development and cybersecurity capacity building. CNIT students have repeatedly won recognition for their IT and security skills in national competitions.
