REGULATORY MATERIALS MANAGERThis position is responsible for the oversight and management of UCare's material review and submission process, and the development of all department-owned materials and corresponding timelines. Serve as subject matter expert on regulatory guidelines and work cross-departmentally to ensure understanding of, and adherence to, all materials-related regulatory content, timing, and delivery method requirements.·Understand and apply federal and state regulatory requirements related to enrollee materials so that materials are accurate and compliant. Subject matter expert on: Medicare, State Public Programs, and/or Individual regulations; material development and review; use of regulated models; required materials and corresponding deadlines; and content.·Lead development of enrollee materials owned by Government Relations (GR.) Write, edit, and/or proofread GR-owned enrollee materials.·Develop and supervise the GR Regulatory Materials Team. Includes assigning work based on skills and capacity, prioritizing, resolving issues, setting team standards, managing performance, and developing and maintaining training plans and resources.·Participate in interdepartmental workgroups focused on enrollee materials planning and development to ensure issues are identified and addressed, relevant information is shared with stakeholders, and enrollee material approvals and distribution meet regulatory deadlines and enrollee needs.·Represent UCare on external enrollee materials workgroups in the planning, discussion and review of templates for required enrollee materials. Coordinate with additional UCare staff to create and review workgroup materials.·Maintain policies and processes to produce accurate, timely, and compliant materials. Ensure Regulatory Materials Team follows established policies and processes. ·Ensure enrollee materials are: (1) reviewed for compliance by the Materials Coordinator; (2) submitted timely to regulator(s), if needed; and (3) approved. ·Support UCare departments in understanding materials-related regulatory requirements and the processes in place for review, submission, and approval of materials.·Other projects and duties as assigned.EducationBachelor's degree; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Required ExperienceManagement or supervisory experience. Two years enrollee materials writing experience in health insurance, managed care, or in a health-care delivery system. Experience leading cross-functional teams or business initiatives. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Individual regulations, such as CMS' Medicare Communications and Marketing Guidelines.
Preferred ExperienceProject management experience. Knowledge of NCQA requirements.
