Pro Staff is seeking an Accounting Assistant for a 6 week temporary project with a leading St. Cloud Employer.  
The position is M-F, 8-5pm, and pays $15 per hour.
***Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 1 year accounting experience.  New grads with a AAS or BS degree in accounting will be considered as well.


Position Description:

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting with the finance and accounting functions with general tasks as assigned.  You will work with the Finance Manager, Controller and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

 Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monthly rebate reconciliation including gathering rebate backup (copies of credits, checks and wires), sorting and entering data into the reconciliation
  • Complete used equipment approvals
  • Assist with filing sales and use tax including extracting data from internal software and entering into reports used for filing returns
  • Prepare fixed asset import monthly
  • Regularly review the fixed asset inbox and complete changes on a timely basis
  • Assist with special projects within functional area including the fixed asset cleanup project
  • Provide administrative assistance to CFO such as preparing financial management reports and data for presentations, email organization, filing and scanning
  •  Required Qualifications:

    Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance or equivalent experience Superior numerical ability and advanced accounting skills Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as a MS Office applications including a high level of Excel knowledge and Power Point  Superior internal and external customer service and communication skills Enthusiastic, dedicated to the challenge of helping other people Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed reports Ability to identify errors and make proper corrections Strong ability to exercise independent judgment and use discretion regarding confidential financial matters Self-starter with the ability to perform with little or no direct supervision Excellent organizational and time/task management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work within a defined timeline and to operate with changing priorities Function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, client orientated team
