Position Description

This position is responsible to perform a variety of support functions for the CCO Department including: sort and count incoming mail; scan documents and various other UCare correspondence for a variety of departments into the imaging system including Enrollment applications and claims.  File claims; retrieve claims; enter claims, correspondence, Enrollment applications and documents.  Generate DTR explanation letters.

·Sort incoming UCare mail according to department-specified sort criteria.

·Count and file specified claim types that are not scanned prior to payment.

·Operate in the Formworks application to move and assign work to department work queues.  Editing of unreadable documents and faxes.  Perform data entry functions.

·Deliver documents to internal departments via Macess-EXP.

·Accurate and timely entry of DTR letters into Amisys.

·Doc triage documents that are unsuited for the Formworks such as faxes, enrollment applications, and claim adjustments.

·Identify and forward subrogation documents to Optum.

·Review and respond to correspondences received in the claim fax mailbox.

·Prep miscellaneous mail and member correspondences to be scanned.

·Navigate in Amisys to locate essential information as needed.

·File scanned enrollment applications, claims, and correspondence.  Retrieve scanned/paper enrollment applications or claims as needed.

·Other projects and duties as needed.


High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience

One year of general business office experience required, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

PC or other computer system experience preferred. Familiarity with medical claims preferred.
