    Location:
    Anoka Technical College

    Part-Time:  12 months/90 days/4 hours a day
    Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 4:30-8:30 PM

    Duties:  Conduct intake and orientation sessions for new, incoming learners. Support classroom teachers and the general program with day-to-day tasks. Assist adult learners in the areas of reading, math, and language skills (under the guidance of a licensed teacher); monitor student attendance; conduct student follow up; complete student data and record keeping; and support volunteers. Other duties as assigned. (Training is provided to administer student progress assessments at intake and as ongoing measures.)

    Minimum Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent.  Strong communication and organizational skills.  Ability to be flexible and function well in an envoironment that is busy and features an ethnically and culturally diverse population. 

    Preferred Qualifications:  BA/BS degree preferred. Experience working in an ABE/ESL academic program preferred.  Experience with diverse populations preferred.  Experience using technology preferred.  Bilingual skills a plus.

    Rate of pay:  $13.82/hour.

    Start Date:  ASAP after closing.
