Description: The Operations Intelligence team is looking for a strategic, self-starting, and results-oriented product manager who is interested in leading a team to prototype data products that will power Target's future supply chain. The product manager will assemble a broad, cross-functional team to build, test and iterate on solutions that provide insights to operations teams within the Global Supply Chain Organization. In this role, you will combine your deep supply business expertise with advance technical and analytical skills to create and validate prototypes for production systems.
The Operations Intelligence Prototyping team is responsible for building proof of concepts / minimum viable products with business teams throughout the Global Supply Chain organization. The team has a mix of business acumen and technical skills, allowing it to identify problems use problem-solving methodologies (design thinking, lean, 6sigma…) then quickly deliver solutions for testing using the Agile framework.

This role requires a person who is an expert in a broad range of supply chain functions, has excellent analytical / technical abilities, and a high degree of comfort with ambiguity. This leader must be someone who has a deep commitment to collaboration with others, and values building diverse teams. The applicant should be familiar with the Agile methodology, but must have a progress over perfection mindset. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelors in Supply Chain, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field • 5+ years' experience managing analytical projects • 5+ years of experience working in supply chain or a related field (distribution, logistics, planning.. etc) • Robust critical thinking skillset with expertise in root cause identification techniques (LEAN, 6sigma, design thinking) • Excellent communication skills (verbal / written) - Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams • Desire to teach and share skills and expertise with others • Fluency in 1 open source programming language (preferably R or Python) • Ability to write complex SQL statements • Experience in designing and developing data products Preferred Qualifications: • Masters in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or 7+ years' experience managing analytical projects • 7+ years of experience working in supply chain or a related field (distribution, logistics, planning.. etc) • Excellent communication skills (verbal / written) - Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
