This position works as part of a project team to implement quality standards across software applications. This may include developing automated test cases, executing performance testing, developing test tools, and analyzing complex data. Responsibilities may also include providing work direction and training to Associate SQA Analysts, completing documentation according to approved methodology, and coordinating and participating in development and review meetings.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years software development or test automation experience
  • Experience with multiple database technologies (such as MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Oracle)
  • Demonstrated ability with any of the following scripting and programming languages (such as Java, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, CoffeeScript, TypeScript)
  • Experience with source control and continuous integration tools (GitHub and Jenkins preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability developing software testing tools, or test automation scripts
  • Experience with Web Service testing
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Exposure to defect tracking systems such as JIRA
  • Familiarity with application development methodologies including Agile and Scrum
  • Highly motivated with strong communication, analytical and technical skills along with the ability to work both independently and in teams required
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field OR Equivalent relevant experience
  • Web service testing and an understanding of microservices
  • Knowledge of performance, load, and stress testing practices
  • Experience using JMeter, BlazeMeter Selenium Grid, and/or Protractor
  • Experience working with cloud-based systems and technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
