About
This Opportunity - Data Center Raised Floor Engineer This
position is responsible for the support and maintenance of all raised floor
hardware at Target's enterprise data centers. This includes supporting the
layout of the raised floor, power and network connectivity management and full
inventory management. Specific responsibilities are listed below but not
limited to:
Qualifications:
- Install,
configure and decommission Compute, Storage and Network hardware and
associated structured cabling and racksServe
as Escalation Point for Incident Management Break/Fix support of Compute,
Storage and Network hardwareEnsure
effective storage, control, erasure, and destruction of storage media in
compliance with Target's data erasure and destruction processes and
policiesUse available equipment
telemetry, failure history, equipment specifications to support Problem Management
to avoid recurring instability and outagesSupport Raised Floor Capacity
Management - Space, Power and CoolingSupport
Hardware Lifecycle and Asset Management to include shipping and receiving
of assets, audits of infrastructure in production and storage, develop and
maintain standards for surplus hardware, maintain hardware inventory to
improve availability (quicker return to service during outages)Develop
and implement automation of manual processes to increase productivity and
operational efficiency and effectiveness
- BA/BS
or equivalent experienceMinimum
of two-years work experience, including 1 year software developmentKnowledge
of engineering approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as
required by domain
