A role with Target Media Network is an opportunity to represent the company in the sales of digital media, advertising and custom marketing campaign solutions to the national media and advertising agency market. You'll develop and present market-leading media strategies and smart solutions that exceed our clients' needs—all with a focus on delivering on Target's unmatched brand promise. Your challenge will be to lead the RFP process including reviewing responses, writing proposals, coordinating insertion orders and managing client contact reports. Use your strong communication skills and digital media experience to tell the story of Target's key differentiators in the media and ad markets. Apply your proven success in leveraging data to distill the relevant insights that influence clients. As an Account Executive, you will be part of a category team responsible for analyzing the financial health of the business along with developing strategies to grow shopper and national ad revenue.

Collaboration will be critical with Finance and the Sales Force Administrator to develop reports that will create transparency to all levels of the business. Presenting insights derived from reporting analysis and providing recommendations on gap fill strategies will be critical to reduce financial risk. As owner of the category forecast you will be responsible for accuracy to the pipeline and providing headlines and insights around wins and losses.  Understanding incremental revenue growth will also be a critical part of forecast and you will need to accurately represent origination of revenue (shopper vs. national). Your role will also include developing insights quarterly by partnering with media strategy and your Category Director which will be leveraged by the VP & Sr. Director to share at Merch SVP QBRs.

Preparation of individualized category sales materials grounded in insights for your category vendors will be leveraged by the team and you to prospect, pitch and drive revenue within the growth segment.  You will also own the testing strategy for your category and make recommendation on vendor participation to partner teams in order to drive incremental ad revenue. Competitive research through industry tools and research will be another avenue for you to recommend opportunities. You will also partner with the Training and Enablement Team create an outreach strategy in order to drive incremental revenue.

About you:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience thinking critically and making strategic decisions
  • Superior financial and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to collaborate and navigate through complex organizations - team player
  • Embraces change and growth
  • 3-5 years analytics, digital media sales, and/or marketing experience
  • Proven track record of revenue growth activity $5M+
  • Extensive knowledge of the digital media environment, trends and technologies
  • Minimal travel required
