As a Senior Manager Communications, you will lead a team responsible for enterprise and external communications for Target's operations, which includes Target stores, fulfillment operations, supply chain, and properties.

This position is responsible for leading a team that will communicate how Target's operations, from the supply chain to the store floor, create an elevated and differentiated shopping experience for our guests with efficiency and scale.

As the senior manager, this role will engage directly with multiple Target leadership team members including the chief operating officer, chief stores officer, chief supply chain officer, and other company leaders to develop strategic communications programs in support of business goals.

A key component of this role is to create communications strategies that continue to differentiate Target's leading guest fulfillment services such as free shipping, same day delivery, and order pick-up.

Responsibilities include:

Oversee the executive communications and speechwriting support for key leaders, including key company and external meetings.

Working closely with four direct reports and key leaders and internal partners across the company to optimize communications for stores, supply chain, properties, fulfillment and overall operations to internal and external audiences that reflect progress against our corporate strategy and embody Target's purpose.

Leading the development of a holistic strategy to communicate the impact of Target's operations across stakeholder audiences, and manage the process for annual strategic planning across each operational area led by direct reports.

Help to bring the role of stores, supply chain, properties, fulfillment and overall operations and its team members into focus for enterprise communications to underscore their role in driving Target's success.

Serve as a communications advisor to Target leaders, and manage four direct report's work across communications activities such as media interviews, speaking opportunities and enterprise communications.

Engaging external stakeholders (including relevant forums, events, and organizations) to evaluate and create opportunities to convey Target's story.

Developing and engaging with relevant media about Target's operations.

Collaborating with Target's overall communications team and internal partners to communicate in holistic way across all channels.

Managing PR agency relationships, performance and budgets.

Monitor media landscape daily to better understand how Target and our competitive set are being covered externally.

Serve as external spokesperson for Target.

Cultivate productive relationships with key reporters.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

10 - 15 years of relevant experience
