If so, the Plymouth Pro Staff may have a great opportunity for you! An established company in Plymouth is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Lead for a temporary position. This position will last 2 to 3 months and hours will be from 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday, there can be flexibility with start time. Duties and Responsibilities:

- Preparation and processing of orders for shipment to/from customers and vendors
- Plans and organizes the daily shipping activity of the department, including the status and location of materials, in order to ensure that work is completed based on shipping needs and requirements.
- Communicates with external warehouse and transportation vendors, providing direction and guidance relating to operational requirements and priorities.
- Schedules transportation for shipments with transportation companies.
- Manages the receiving and put-away function of all items received. This includes checking quantities against Purchase Orders and posting goods into the ERP system.
- Trains employees as required in the proper methods of pulling, packing, shipping, and inventory control via RF scanning units.
- Trains employees in company policies and procedures, safety guidelines, and general shipping operations using standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned by Logistics Leader.
- Follows company policies and practices as outlined in Handbook and follow guidelines regarding safety as outline in the AWAIR, and other safety procedures in accordance to the job.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- In-depth knowledge of Shipping, Warehouse, Traffic and Transportation procedures, and standard operating procedures for the Shipping Department.
- Experience with International shipment preparation and processing required.
- Expertise in functional use of SAP, preferred.
- Must have ability to work well with others, organize, lead and communicate as a member of a team.
- Must have ability to carry out company policies, work, and safety instructions.
