Head Varsity Football Coach
Duties: Program development, player evaluation, schedule practices and games - developing a program that is a model for other programs..
Responsible for overall football program including:
Coach student athletes in strategies and techniques to prepare for competition.
Motivate student athletes to develop an appreciation of the sport.
Provide leadership, direction and support to the high school and youth programs, within the rules of Minnesota State High School League and Anoka High and its affiliated district/conference(s).
Facilitate the development of football players, not only as players but also as people with good character and integrity.
Responsible for creating teams who show consistent progress and improvement throughout the season.
Minimum Qualifications: Multiple years as a successful offensive or defensive coordinator at the High School or College level or successful Head Football Coaching experience. Strong communicator with athletes, parents, administration, and community. Candidate must believe that football is a venue to teach young men about resiliency, team work, cooperation and other lifelong skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Proven track record of making strong connections with students, coaches, and the community preferred. Creative in assessing the needs of the team, program, and youth levels preferred.
