A role on the Financial Planning and Analysis team means providing insight and guidance to support Target's strategic growth strategies and financial decisions. You'll deliver objective and financially-focused insights to the business owners and finance leaders. You will be a critically important resource for long-term and annual financial planning, analysis and drive cross-company initiatives.  

As a Sr Finance Manager, Capital Finance, you will lead the Finance support for Target's multi-billion dollar Remodel program.  You'll influence, shape, and value the financial impact of remodel capital investment decisions. This includes performing NPV, IRR and sensitivity analyses.  Effective applicants will drives cost/benefit analysis, conversation, and debate related to proposed remodel spending and scope, and is able to balance and understand both strategic and financial implications of various approaches.  You will conduct analysis to prioritize and recommend remodel candidates based on the company's strategic initiatives and guest needs.  You will cultivate influential relationships with partner groups including Properties, Store Planning, Space & Presentation, Store Operations, and Property Accounting in order to drive better outcomes for Target's Remodels program.

About you:

  • B.A/B.S degree in accounting or finance, MBA or CPA, a plus
  • 4+ years of relevant Finance experience (including FP&A experience)
  • Demonstrated strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • High level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to present complex financial analyses in an understandable format to inform and influence stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong partnerships with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Broad technical skills including experience with spreadsheet and presentation applications (MS Excel/PowerPoint)
