A role with Target Media Network is an opportunity to represent the company in the sales of digital media, advertising and custom marketing campaign solutions to the national media and advertising agency market. You'll develop and present market-leading media strategies and smart solutions that exceed our clients' needs—all with a focus on delivering on Target's unmatched brand promise. Your challenge will be to lead the RFP process including reviewing responses, writing proposals, coordinating insertion orders and managing client contact reports. Use your strong communication skills and digital media experience to tell the story of Target's key differentiators in the media and ad markets. Apply your proven success in leveraging data to distill the relevant insights that influence clients. Bring your passion for this rapidly evolving environment and have a hand in delivering the profitable financial results that benefit the entire business. As a Director TMN Sales & Strategy, you'll be responsible for developing category / division level strategies that drives shopper, national, innovation, measurement, etc. You will partner with Target's Key, JBP and Innovator vendors to uncover growth opportunities and educate and influence decision makers on the power of TMN.  Develop long tail strategies to ensure healthy sales funnel and potential growth opportunities. You will inspire and engage your team, set clear direction and ensure the team is accountable for activity that drives revenue. Ongoing forecast responsibilities and informing Sr. Director of shifts in business. Partner with internal peers to ensure strategies deliver on the best guest experience and follow corporate best practices. Conduct client / prospect sales meetings and consult to understand their current and emerging media and marketing needs.You will recommend and represent at key industry events that result in revenue activity. Your status as a trusted internal liaison coupled with the acute knowledge of digital media industry challenges will help establish key relationships with decision-makers and navigate complex organization hierarchies to unlock incremental funding.   • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of driving $40M+ in ad revenue from large and mid-sized brands
  • 10+ years digital media sales, analytics and/or marketing experience
  • Retail - brick & mortar and e-comm, negotiations, digital sales at the agency & brand level.
  • Retail and negotiation expert. Digital and traditional media acumen and acute understanding of media measurement. Clear grasp of the competitive media and retail landscape.
  • Required experience leading and motivating sales teams within complex organizations. Proven track record of motivating a team to drive revenue growth. 
  • Preferred location in New York City
