Winona State University invites applications for a Student Counselor (Psychologist II). This position is part-time during the academic year (15 hours per week, specific days and times negotiable with a preference for the evening and possibly Saturday hours) with no hours worked during summer, winter and spring break.  As our Counselor, you will be responsible for providing professional counseling/psychological services to students at Winona State University and Minnesota State College Southeast.  This will include, but is not limited to individual and group therapy, case consultation, crisis/triage, supervision as appropriate, assessments, and collaboration with other direct care staff.

Minimum qualifications for this position  include (1) a Master’s degree in counseling, clinical psychology, or social work; (2) a license to practice in Minnesota as a Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) by date of hire; and (3) must be able to be credentialed by numerous health insurance carriers should billing for services be implemented.   Note:  Before hire, a Psychotherapist check will be complete per Minnesota Statutes Chapter 604.20.
