Atterro has partnered with Cantel for a contract (3-4 month) Indirect Buyer Analyst role in Plymouth! In this role, you will place purchase orders for non-inventory materials, equipment, services, supplies and repair items to support the business as well as review quotes, generate purchase orders, monitor open orders, expedite, and monitor supplier performance ensuring they meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives. 

This is a contract position with an expected time frame of 3-4 months and a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Issues purchase orders for supplies, equipment, services, and materials by preparing requests for quotations and submitting purchase orders with approved suppliers.
· Manages the purchase orders including the delivery date and change orders.
· Maintains accurate lead times for assigned commodities.
· Negotiates and settles damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes with suppliers.
· Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
· Monitors and evaluates supplier performance. Advises appropriate personnel of impending supplier failure to fulfill contractual agreements that may delay production or delivery.
· Supports Supply Chain projects by providing reports in a usable format, analyzing data and presenting the information in an understandable manner
· Resolves shipment quality discrepancies by mediating supplier/manufacturing issues. Facilitates the resolution of issues by arranging and participating in conferences between suppliers and company personnel.
· Supports Requests for Proposal for items of limited scope and complexity.  Help select suppliers when no preferred supplier is available
· Maintain accurate purchasing files in entering and closing out purchase orders in ERP system.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION:
· BA or BS degree and a minimum of two years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.  Working knowledge of MRP and manufacturing support systems.
· Familiarity with ISO, FDA and GMP requirements preferred.  ISM CPSM and/or APICS CPIM or CRIM Certification desirable.
· Strong Excel skills 
· Exceptional written and verbal communications.
· Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work well within cross-functional team environments.
· Ability to effectively communicate and present information to suppliers, team members, team leaders, and top management.
· Effective persuasion skills and the ability to influence others.
      
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to remain in a stationary position to utilize standard office tools.
· Move about office and manufacturing area as necessary.
· Operate office equipment (i.e., computer, calculator, copy machine, fax machine).
