Bus Paraeducators
Part-Time - Casual hrs as needed
Bus paras assist with a variety of physical and emotional needs of students while being bused.
Duties include: Ensure the safety and well-being of students. Working with students who may display aggressive, abusive or inappropriate verbal and/or physical behavior.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift and move students. Ability to supervise students. Ability to exercise judgement and make decisions appropriate to students' needs. Ability/desire to work effectively with students with disabilities. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.
Rate of Pay: $13.00/hour, $14.50/hour with AAS degree that is educationally relevant, $15.25/hour with BA degree.
