The Lead BI Engineer for Infrastructure role in our Enterprise Data team is responsible for the deployment of infrastructure solutions leveraged by the Business Intelligence Engineering portfolio.Accountable for establishing best practices, developing infrastructure as code solutions simplifying consumption of infrastructure services using DevOps methodologies.Infrastructure services includes internal cloud/compute using VM and container services.

Assess client needs and identify appropriate infrastructure services and designTroubleshoot Infrastructure related issues and work with product teams to resolveProvide recommendations for configurations to proactively address infrastructure concernsAutomate deployment of infra solutions using infrastructure as code engineering practicesDocument infrastructure services and consumption practices, conduct demos and utilize DevOps and agile methods towards in delivering infrastructure solutionsValidate that solutions meet their intended purpose upon deliveryAdvocate for technologies, frameworks, design patterns, processes and guiding values of BI EngineeringEmbrace the DevOps mentality by building solutions designed for availability and scalability in an iterative mannerManage and execute against agile plans and set deadlines based on client, business, and technical requirements

Requirements:

BS in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience5 plus years of experience in an Infrastructure roleStrong Experience with Linux or Unix OSScripting experience (Shell, Perl, Ruby, Python or similar)Experience with source-code management, such as Git, cvs, subversionExperience with server, storage and network infrastructure design, deployment and automationExperience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)Experience with Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment tools (Jenkins, Drone, etc.) and pipeline configuration/development a plusStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences
