A role on the Supply Chain Operations Intelligence Team means being at the heart of our perpetual reimagining. This group is the think tank and laboratory for the innovative ideas that spark change throughout the supply chain. We are inventers, metrics masters, data geeks, testers, triers, course-correctors and askers of the all-important question “What if … ?” You will do great work in an agile environment, and show off your cross-functional chops by managing several complex relationships, partnerships and interactions simultaneously. Your specific expertise—whether it's people, process,  technology, or data—will be felt well beyond the boundaries of the supply chain organization, positively impacting Target team members and guests alike. 

About the Job:

As a Sr. Project Manager on the Metrics team you will help form a critical part of the work to transform the supply chain. As a high performing member of the team you will work on initiatives intended to propel Target's Supply Chain monitoring and measurement capability forward to meet the needs of the future. The Metrics Team is focused on making our supply chain a process-focused supply chain that uses data to drive performance improvements, and that utilizes aligned measurements and goals to deliver Guest-centered outcomes. This position will work with a broad set of supply chain stakeholders, internal and field facing SC team members, EDABI, and technical partners to collaborate on the best solutions to optimize for cost, speed, accuracy, and simplicity. You will identify data needs, source and analyze required data and understands business challenges to build recommendations and deliver solutions for the business to run more efficiently. Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. About you:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
  • 2-5 years supply chain or supply chain support area experience
  • Basic technical skillset querying data and base familiarity with tables in IM or Logistics
  • Comfort with Agile methodology or interest in learning and applying
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - will interact with senior leadership on a recurring basis
  • Comfortable self-directing, self-motivating and figuring out the optimal path forward where not defined
  • Proven ability to work among ambiguous direction and fast paced environments
Nice to have:
  • Experience writing data tables, running and authoring queries
  • Experience with at least one of the following: SQL. ETL, Data Visualization, R, VBA, or another coding language
