Commercial Furniture Laminating Specialist
Valley Staffing is currently seeking applicants for a Furniture laminating position located in Lonsdale.

POSITION PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for applying post finish laminating on cabinets, countertops, fixtures and components. Reports to the shop foreman.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Follows guidelines to apply post laminate finishes using spray application to cabinets, countertops, fixtures and components.
• Utilizes shop drawings to properly finish cabinetry, countertops, fixtures and components.

GENERAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Apply laminate finishes to surfaces using spray adhesive as required
• Maintains a high standard of quality in workmanship
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the individual work area and certain common areas.
• Sanding and finishing as required
• Provides assistance to other team members as needed
• Other duties as assigned, not to exceed 10% of work time


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience applying post laminate finishes (3+ years)
• Previous experience in cabinet fabrication
• General knowledge of the use and maintenance of cabinet shop machinery and hand tools (table saws, routers, measuring tools, etc…).
• Working knowledge of millwork products (cabinets, countertops, doors, millwork, wood trim and hardware.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical shop drawings, follow critical measurements and an ability to produce from rough concepts
• Must be able to work well individually and within a team.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time; at least 8 hours per day.
• Occasional lifting of up to seventy pounds (assisted)
• Possess the manual dexterity to assemble parts and components.
