Printer/Copier Field Technician
We are looking for someone who can work independently and be self-motivated to get the job done. You will respond to service calls here in the Twin Cities area and drive to the client side to perform Printer Technician Services. This is a great company who treats employees extremely well.
Printer/Field Service Technician Responsibilities:
1.) Unpacking, installing and setup of product(s) at customer site. Products include: PCs, application software, digital cameras, cameras, laminating machines and all varying kinds of printers.
2.) Provide detailed operator training on use of the above products/system: configuration, database setup and links, changing supplies in printer, designing formats, navigating the software.
3.) Perform preventative maintenance of hardware (e.g. printers). Clean unit and replace worn parts.
4.) Perform emergency maintenance of system. repair equipment jams, transport problems, poor image quality, system crashes, application software problems, database link issues, communications issues with host/network.
5.) Be the main interface with customer for company while doing so in a very positive fashion both technically and personally.
Printer/Field Service Technician Requirements:
--Excellent technical skills—
--Personal Computer (PC)
--Installing programs and printers on a PC
--Network (not required, but a plus)
--Excellent customer rapport skills
Printer/Field Service Technician Experience Desired:
--one to three years of transferable work experience preferred
--demonstrated proficiency in ‘working with your hands’
--significant work, school or hobby experience in working with computers and software
--driver's license in good standing
--reliable transportation in order to visit clients (mileage reimbursed)
--technical school education (1 year or 2 year) or other related training/schooling
