Job Description:

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, staffing, administration, implementation and supervision of events and promotions with the dual purpose of providing a positive impact on guest relationships and increasing profitability. Works with other departments and outside vendors to ensure successful events and promotions per the business requirements from the Gaming Enterprise. Coordinates logistics of the promotions from conception to completion within budget constraints. Notifies all appropriate departments of upcoming events and promotions. Attends on-site events and promotions and handles details necessary to execute the event or promotion.


Budget/Asset Responsibilities:

Assists in tracking expenses associated with specific projects and programs and has responsibility for cash and prizes used in promotions.


Job Duties:

  1. Acts as project lead for assigned promotions and events. Coordinates all logistics of events and promotions from conception to completion within budget constraints. Assists in the development of proposals and outlines for special events and promotions.
  2. Generates detailed and well thought out creative briefs including creative direction, appropriate material requests and specific deadlines. Coordinates and oversees production of marketing collateral related to promotions and special events.
  3. Proofs and edits all promotional collateral. Ensures props, signage and collateral are installed and removed in a timely fashion for all events and promotions.
  4. Assist Promotions Supervisor with all aspects of event including staffing, registration, drawings, and distribution of promotional items during assigned events. Attends on-site events and promotions as needed, and handles operational details associated with events. Assists Promotions Supervisor with work direction throughout events to Promotion Coordinators, Club Mystic Representatives and other event staff participating in the execution of a marketing event.
  5. Works with other departments and outside vendors to ensure proper execution of promotional elements. Notifies all appropriate departments of upcoming events and promotions.
  6. Provides Business Intelligence with necessary information on special events and promotions.
  7. Ensures that all promotions are submitted on time for necessary approvals to the Executive Team, Board of Directors, Internal Audit, Gaming Commission, etc. and meet all Regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
  1. Any combination of post-high school education in Business, Marketing or a related field or equivalent work experience totaling at least one year; and a minimum of two or more years of professional marketing experience in a corporate setting (gaming environment preferred) to include event planning and promotions.
  2. Advanced experience with word-processing, spreadsheets, presentations and electronic mail software.
  3. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. On feet or standing 40% of shift.
  5. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  6. Exposure to summer heat and conditions for outdoor events.
