A role with Business Partnerships & Negotiations (BP&N) means supporting Merchandising in developing negotiation and vendor engagement strategies for pursuing the optimal deal, inclusive of sales, profitability, vendor investment, supply-chain & marketing considerations, etc. Here, you'll drive and support key projects across total merchandising to create incremental value, standardize and improve terms of business, and react to changing business/market conditions.Use your analytical expertise and strategic thinking to establish more favorable vendor agreements. Benchmark and assess vendor profitability, and identify opportunities to leverage vendor engagement and negotiations to get the best deal for Target.As a Sr. Business Partner BP&N, you will work and communicate with all levels of management, and will lead merchants and planners through the negotiation process, including facilitation of both competitive and collaborative negotiations. You will engage with vendors as it relates to negotiations, agreements, and joint value creation. The core responsibilities of this job are outlined within the job description. - Four-year degree 1-3 years retail experience
- Strong strategic and analytical
skills Strong initiative; proactive Strong understanding of Apparel Merchandising buying
practices and negotiation techniques, including purchasing of National
brand product
