Description: JOB POSITION:Lead Data Engineer

LOCATION: 33 South 6^th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55402

DUTIES:Perform end-to-end software development processes and practices; develop high performance, distributed computing tasks using Big Data technologies; analyze, design, debug and modify software enhancements and new products used in distributed, large-scale analytics solutions; define software architecture to ensure that the organization's software solutions are built within a consistent framework; implement architectures to handle web-scale data and its organization; execute strategies that inform data design and architecture in partnership with enterprise-wide standards; implement and improve core software infrastructure; develop interactive dashboards, reports, and analysis templates; implement and support a platform that can provide ad-hoc access to large datasets; diagnose, isolate and de-bug software problems and perform problem resolution; and provide innovative operational solutions and best practices. Tools and technologies used: Hadoop, Java, Apache Apex, Rest APIs, Apache Kafka, Chef, Drone, SQL Server, MySQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Apache Storm, Hive, Oozie, JSON, DB2, hdfs, MapReduce, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Scala, Shell Scripting, Oracle, Teradata, Jenkins, Docker, Elastic Search, Kibana, and Grafana.

REQUIREMENTS:This position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and at least three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, including at least one (1) year of experience using Java, Hadoop, Chef, Apache Storm, Hive, Oozie, Pig, SQL Server, Jenkins, Docker, and Grafana. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience as a Software Engineer, including at least one (1) year of experience using Java, Hadoop, Chef, Apache Storm, Hive, Oozie, Pig, SQL Server, Jenkins, Docker, and Grafana.
