As a HR Manager you will be a key strategic partner for leadership within the marketing function and a valuable resource for team members. Whether through onboarding, performance management, or giving leaders and team members the guidance that they need to be successful, you will be a knowledgeable and committed resource. You'll make a positive impact on how team members experience organizational change, and you'll use information and close partnership with leaders to build the teams that achieve their specific business goals.

• Operate as a strategic advisor focused on talent management to build the best team

• Responsible for performance management (coaching & corrective action guidance) across Target Creative to ensure high performing teams

• Strategize with the business to translate pyramid objectives into talent strategies, inclusive of global talent mix and mindset as well as leadership across all levels of the team

• Lead, influence, support, and facilitate organizational change and communication

• Consult with senior leaders across the business to understand how to best align and integrate people through organization design and talent development for a highly cross functional team that is fast-paced and constantly changing

• Lead and customize talent routines within Target Creative to ensure talent strategies help achieve overall business goals and make progress in team health metrics

• Determine and plan workforce needs to identify and mobilize the right talent to meet business needs

• Leverage HR data to drive improvements in retention, engagement, and Diversity & Inclusion

• Lead delivery and application of HR cyclical processes (Talent Routines, Best Team Survey, Annual Pay & Performance, Strategic Workforce Planning, etc.) to the business unit through collaboration with key partners
• Partner closely with senior leaders across Target Creative to advise on enhancement of positive team dynamics resulting in increased efficiencies, productivity and retention of top talent

• Work through employee relations issues with key partners and business leaders

• Assess talent and lead as a brand ambassador who understands and champions Target's purpose, beliefs, and behaviors
• Support/lead HR and business unit project support as needed

• May be involved in captainship or committee work

 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree

• 3-7 years of business or human resources experience

• Experience aligning cross-functional HR generalist and partner teams

• Effective thought leadership, critical thinking and problem solving skills; strong business acumen and curiosity

• Strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate well with all levels in the organization

• Ability to consult the business through strong business acumen and presence

• Strong self-concept, ability to manage conflict and make decisions

• Ability to relate well with and interact with all levels of the organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Situational adaptability
• Takes initiative to drive results
• Models the way with Target behaviors, focus on diversity and inclusion, learning agility and guest mindset


Desired Requirements

• Prior HR Generalist experience

• Experience supporting a business unit within Marketing

• Background in supporting new organizational capabilities and/or leadership teams

• Master's Degree in Human Resources
