INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER - TEMPORARYPosition DescriptionThis position is responsible for recommending, designing, developing and implementing new live, distance and eLearning strategies. Collaborate with managers, partners and SMEs to gather materials, research and source content. Design and develop learning content and curriculum for specific learning programs related to claims, billing and enrollment processing and customer service. Design and deliver eLearning and instructor-led curriculum with the specific intent of increasing job capabilities, revenue and retention. Collaborate with organizational change management (OCM) lead to prepare SMEs to conduct training sessions and support the business post go live.·Needs Assessment: Using a variety of inputs, perform gap analysis for "as is" and "to be" business and system processes. Identify opportunities or innovations in training delivery. Prioritize the importance of identified gaps and recommend interventions. Document and present the methods, the findings, and the recommendations including number of courses, sequencing of courses, estimated employee training time and evaluation criteria.·Instructional Design: Using a structured systems approach, research content and/or collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to define, document and develop the content sequence.·Training Development: Develop solutions (e.g., instructor-led, elearning, mobile etc.) that provide relevant, engaging, challenging, and productive learning experiences. Develop necessary course collateral including facilitator and participant materials, presentation media, job aids, and knowledge checks. Finalize materials through reviews, developmental tests, pilots, etc.·Evaluation Design: As part of needs assessment and instructional approach, design the evaluation measurement, weighted metrics and steps. Define, document and design the activities, evaluation questions, criteria and methods to achieve agreed upon outcomes.·Consult on defining and maintain standards for design and development process, templates and materials supporting new content and curriculum development, as needed.·Other duties as assigned.EducationBachelor's Degree in instructional design, adult education or related degree preferred; Master's Degree a plus.Required Experience8 or more years' experience designing business and systems process learning solutions for a variety of job levels.Experience in designing multiple day and/or multiple week learning experiences.In-depth experience with blended learning approaches.Experience designing both process and technical training.Preferred ExperienceExperience in health care industryExperience designing for claims, billing, enrollment and customer serviceTHE UCARE DIFFERENCEUCare is proud to be a recognized Star Tribune Top Workplace for the 8th consecutive year.
